Edit: In regards to the “concern” arising from this, Natalie has been and continues to lose weight, not for her beauty, but for her health. So, to everyone that has been bashing a person they do not know and to those who have stated, “She’s unhealthy… she’s lazy… she should be concerned about her health…”, you have an answer.
This is so sad to me.
The original photoset is so beautiful, so powerful and inspiring. And the edit just completely ruins it. It exacerbates the stereotype that one has to lose weight to become healthier. It’s simply not true. If Natalie wants to be healthier, more power to her. But putting a number, or a weight loss, on her ‘progress’, goes against the whole message that a blog called ‘morethanjustanumber’ should be about. I feel awful that she felt she had to bow to the pressure of all the negative feedback she must have gotten.
I’m seriously disappointed, and I even sent a message to morethanjustanumber about it.
